 Maria Guida has designed and delivered training programs in the field of communication skills to major corporations and businesses in the New York area for almost fifteen years. She has improved performance at some of the world's premier organizations, including Citigroup, NYSE Euronext, Shearman and Sterling, and Moody's Investors Service, Inc.
In an earlier career, Maria was a professional actress and spokesperson on
national television commercials. She performed principal roles in two Broadway productions and on television, and she has worked on stage with many well-known artists, including James Earl Jones, Kevin Kline, Estelle Parsons, and Treat Williams.
Maria has been a featured speaker for the New York City Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Council, Toastmasters International, the Project Management Institute, the New York Software Industry Association, The Westchester Women's Bar Association, the Foreign Bank HR Forum, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, Fleet Legal Services Group, and North Fork Bank, among other organizations.
Her articles on the subject of communication skills have appeared in HR TechKnow (published by the Society For Human Resource Management), the American Business Directory, and the Journal of the Imagination in Learning (published by Jersey City State College). She has also been quoted in NY Matrix (published by NY Women in Communications).
Maria is certified by the State of New York as a teacher/trainer and was recommended by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars for a Fulbright Award. As a university professor, she taught communication skills to professionals and MBA/doctoral students from the United States and abroad.
A frequent presenter at seminars and conferences, Maria is a member of New York Women in Communications, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actor's Guild, and AFTRA.
